At THOMAS Recruitment, we're looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager to join our Central Sales Team at our Cardiff Head Office. This isn't a role for someone who waits for opportunities to come to them—it's for a natural hunter who creates them.
You'll be targeting the manufacturing sector, identifying business challenges and delivering recruitment solutions that provide genuine ROI. We're after someone who can build relationships, influence decision-makers, and close significant deals.

What You'll Be Doing
As a dedicated new business hunter, you'll be:
- Driving significant new business revenue opportunities
- Speaking with decision-makers at every level, from Managers and HR professionals to Directors and Business Owners
- Winning new clients through proactive business development and strategic prospecting
- Meeting with potential clients to understand their challenges and create tailored solutions
- Identifying and pursuing tender opportunities
- Building a pipeline of high-value opportunities and turning them into long-term partnerships
Who We're Looking For
You don't just sell—you influence, build trust, and make things happen.
You'll ideally have:
- A confident and outgoing personality
- Experience in B2B sales is preferred
- Natural relationship-building skills
- The resilience to pick up the phone and keep going when others would quit
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A strong work ethic and an obsession with achieving your goals
- A genuine desire to earn exceptional commission and build a long-term career
- A valid driving licence
