Creative Motley Ltd is a growing digital media and consultancy business specialising in creator management, commercial brand partnerships and financial education.
We manage YouTube channels for content creators, negotiate commercial sponsorship opportunities, develop creator growth strategies, produce finance-focused digital media content, and deliver financial literacy workshops and coaching programmes for individuals, churches and organisations.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth by securing new clients, developing strategic partnerships and expanding our commercial revenue streams.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across all areas of the business. The successful candidate will focus on expanding the company's creator management portfolio, developing commercial partnerships, increasing workshop bookings and generating new revenue opportunities.
This role has been created to support the company's next stage of growth by allowing the directors to focus on operational management, content production and strategic leadership while the Business Development Manager leads commercial expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company's growth objectives.
Identify, approach and secure new creator management clients.
Build and maintain relationships with content creators, brands, agencies and commercial organisations.
Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, outreach and strategic partnerships.
Prepare commercial proposals, presentations and partnership opportunities.
Negotiate commercial agreements and secure new business.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM systems.
Achieve agreed revenue growth and client acquisition targets.
Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships
Identify sponsorship opportunities for both Creative Motley and managed creator channels.
Develop relationships with brands, agencies and strategic partners.
Negotiate influencer marketing campaigns and sponsorship agreements.
Secure long-term commercial partnerships that generate recurring revenue.
Identify opportunities to renew, expand and develop existing commercial partnerships.
Training & Business Growth
Develop commercial opportunities for the company's financial literacy workshops and coaching programmes.
Build relationships with churches, corporate organisations, charities and community groups.
Generate new workshop bookings and long-term training contracts.
Identify opportunities to expand the company's training and consultancy services.
Market Development
Conduct market research into industry trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
Identify new markets and sectors for business expansion.
Recommend new services and commercial initiatives that support long-term growth.
Provide market intelligence and commercial recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Commercial Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and business partners.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue from existing client relationships.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth handover of newly secured clients and commercial projects.
Maintain excellent levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Performance Monitoring
Maintain accurate CRM records and business development reports.
Monitor sales performance, conversion rates and revenue targets.
Produce monthly business development reports for management.
Recommend improvements to maximise commercial performance.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum three years' demonstrable experience in business development, commercial partnerships or strategic sales.
Proven track record of identifying, negotiating and successfully securing commercial contracts, sponsorships, influencer marketing agreements or strategic partnerships.
Demonstrable experience developing, marketing and securing structured training programmes, workshops or consultancy engagements for corporate organisations, charities, churches or other community organisations.
Strong understanding of the creator economy, YouTube monetisation and influencer marketing landscape, with the ability to identify commercial opportunities for creators and brands.
Sufficient knowledge of the YouTube creator economy and channel monetisation to credibly represent the company's channel management services to prospective clients and commercial partners.
Proven ability to generate new business opportunities and convert them into long-term commercial relationships.
Excellent networking, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Desirable Requirements
Experience working within the creator economy or digital media sector.
Existing network within the influencer marketing or creator management industry.
Experience working within a growing SME.
Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Zoho CRM.
Understanding of digital products and online learning platforms.
