VCare24 Ltd Mental Health Support Worker (Secure Ambulance Service)
The Support Worker role is to provide a safe and secure transport service for vulnerable adults and children in a dignified manner. We offer a bespoke service to our clients to meet each individuals’ requirements, while maintaining a fast and effective response time. We are keen to hear from caring, passionate and motivated individuals who with to join our team in delivering high quality transfers.
Previous experience of the role is not essential as full training can be given to appropriate candidates. You must be over 21 years of age, hold a licence for more than 1 year & have a full, manual driving licence. (For insurance purposes.)
The role:
- Safely transporting patients from home or hospital settings such as:
Service users who are under the Mental Health Act 1983, Placement transfers/supervised contacts, Transport of young people with a high risk of absconding/violent or aggressive behaviour, Court appearances, Transport of informal patients, Transport of Dementia and older patients
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of patients and colleagues
- Completing vehicle safety checks prior to conveyance and ensuring they are documented.
- Participate in own personal development by attending and contributing to staff meetings, supervision sessions, training courses and other departmental forums.
