Rates:
£15-£20/hour for a companionship focused role
Support days/times:
Initially: 1 hour per day, usually in the mornings (flexible with times), x7 days per week
The timings may occasionally vary slightly to support attendance at activities such as art classes, with arrangements discussed directly between the individual and the PA.

About the Client
A warm and independent lady living in the Southend-on-Sea area is looking to connect with a calm and supportive self-employed female Personal Assistant for approximately 1 hour per day, usually in the mornings.
This is a lovely opportunity for somebody who enjoys providing person-centred support, companionship, and helping somebody remain connected to the things they enjoy.
The individual is living with significant sight impairment and would value support from somebody reassuring, patient, and encouraging who can work alongside her in a respectful and independence-promoting way.
She enjoys:
- Art and attending specialist art classes
- Going for walks
- Browsing the shops
- Visiting cafés
- Conversation and companionship
Duties
Support would include:
- Accompaniment in the community for activities, appointments, walks, shopping, or coffee outings
- Light household tasks
- Assistance preparing breakfast or lunch when required
- Support with paperwork and correspondence
- Helping care for her cat
- Gentle support during dressing or washing if needed

Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of Adult Safeguarding
- Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Self-employed (or willing to become self-employed – we can guide you)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (issued within 12 months OR on the Update Service
