The Role:
We're looking for an experienced carpenter to carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks in tenanted and void properties. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is committed to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across occupied and vacant social housing properties
- Perform a range of trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, basic plastering, tiling, painting and decorating
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and to a high standard
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and maintain a professional manner at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Carpenter role, ideally within social housing
- Strong skills in at least two core trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
