Westlea House is a Residential Children's Home . Our goal is to To care for and Safeguard Children and Young people.
This role involves caring for children and young people in a Children's Residential Home. Applicants experienced with working with Children/young people in a Residential setting are preferable, however we will consider people with Life experiences and skills in caring for children. Applicants will need to either hold or be willing to undertake the Diploma Level 4 CYPS or equivalent, Full training will be provided. This role is for weekend staff, other shifts maybe available in the week .
Staff support young people in their everyday lives, education, health, family time, activities etc, a good level of recording and reporting skills, plus a good level of English language to be able to communicate with young people would be an advantage. Applicants need to understand the importance of Safeguarding Children and young people.
Applicants will need to be able to set and deliver the routines and boundaries for young people in a professional caring manner.
Applicants will work under the guidance of the homes Manager and other senior staff.
Staff hours will be dictated by the homes rota,
Full training and induction will be provided.
An enhanced DBS check is mandatory and will need to be carried out on application, priority given to applicants who are already on the DBS on-line system.
