The Role - Fire Safety Sales Surveyor
We are hiring a Fire Safety Sales Surveyor to join our Midlands team in a field-based, dual-role position combining technical surveying with consultative sales.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in fire safety, construction, or compliance who enjoys being both on-site carrying out surveys and commercial activity driving revenue growth.
You will:
- Conduct 2–3 site visits per week, carrying out fire safety surveys and pre-works inspections
- Produce accurate quotes and estimates for passive fire protection works
- Manage key client accounts while developing new business opportunities
- Deliver a consultative sales approach within social housing, local authorities, and healthcare sectors
This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise and commercial mindset will directly contribute to business growth and improved building safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fire safety surveys, site inspections, and technical assessments
- Gather site data, measurements, and photographic evidence to support quoting and delivery
- Generate accurate quotations, estimates, and scopes of work
- Deliver consultative selling, aligning solutions to client compliance needs
- Build and maintain key account relationships across public sector clients
- Identify and convert new business leads and sales opportunities
- Promote passive fire protection, fire stopping, and compartmentation services
- Engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Support tenders, frameworks, and procurement processes
- Maintain CRM systems and ensure a strong, active sales pipeline

Skills
- Strong consultative sales and technical surveying skills
- Ability to produce accurate quotes and cost estimates
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement
- Confident working independently in a field-based role
- Strong commercial awareness and pipeline management
Knowledge
- Understanding of fire safety regulations, passive fire protection, or building compliance
- Working knowledge of surveying or estimating processes
- Awareness of public sector procurement frameworks (desirable)
Experience
- Experience as a Surveyor, Sales Surveyor, Estimator, or Technical Sales professional
- Background in fire safety, construction, compliance, or social housing sectors
- Proven success in key account management and business development
- Experience conducting site surveys, inspections, or pre-scoping works
- Track record of winning work and generating revenue
