Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy environment.
Duties
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and ensure proper labelling in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of medication, including compounding and packaging as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and offering guidance on medication administration.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispensed medications and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in medication management.
Experience
- Previous UK pharmacy experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes and patient care practices is essential.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure are crucial for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all pharmacy operations is required.

Pay: £12.75-£13.25 per hour
