Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker specialising in Children's Care to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support and care to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, promoting the children’s emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Support children with daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal hygiene routines.
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviour and development.
- Assist with organising activities that promote social skills, independence, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and any incidents, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, families, and external professionals to coordinate care and support plans.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely are essential for transporting children when necessary.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and child protection policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to care plans and daily reports.
- Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to support children's growth and wellbeing.

Pay: £12.96-£14.00 per hour
