We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/ Mot tester to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks
- Diagnose issues through the use of diagnostic equipment and troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively
- Mot Testing
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role
- Strong understanding of schematics, mechanical systems, and electrical components within vehicles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machinery
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types
- Ability to perform equipment repair with precision and attention to detail
- Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
- Prior exposure to customer service environments is advantageous
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in physically demanding conditions
