Role- CNC Turner
Location- Castleford
Rates-Starting on days for training, then moving to shifts
Hours- Days whilst on training, 07.30am-4.00pm Friday 07.30-1.30
After training, alternate shifts of early and lates (Shifts have a 17.5% premium on basic rate)
Mon - Thurs 6am-2pm Fri 6am-12.30.
Lates- Mon - Thurs 2pm-10pm Fri 12.30-6pm
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established engineering manufacturer.
Clean, modern working environment.
You will be responsible for setting, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components to exact customer specifications.
The company manufacture moulds out of various metals, work is one off's and batch work
Experience of Milling is also an advantage, 2 and 3 axis machining, Fanuc controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Set-Up & Preparation:
- Set and prepare CNC turning machines in line with production requirements
- Install and align tooling and fixtures
- Prove out programs and complete first-off inspections
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets for accuracy
Skills & Experience
- Experience operating CNC turning machinery
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Knowledge of tooling and measurement techniques
- Familiar with CAD/CAM and CNC programming basics
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Pay: £15.50-£18.30 per hour
