An exciting opportunity to lead a unique site that blends the best of specialty coffee, brunch, and bagels. UE Coffee Roasters and The Steamhouse have teamed up to bring something special to a warehouse-style space, a dynamic environment that’s both coffee led and food focused.
We’re looking for a confident, people focused manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the site, lead a passionate team, and help shape the customer experience. It’s a hands-on, fast paced role in a venue that’s all about great service, great coffee, and great food. You will not only benefit from the support from the wider business, a starting salary of £30,000 PA with a bonus scheme and a 25% discount across all our locations for you and your friends & family to enjoy!
Key Responsibilities:-
- Uphold The Steamhouse values – energy, attitude, standards, and team spirit
- Run day-to-day operations across both front-of-house and kitchen
- Lead and support the team – rota planning, training, and communication
- Drive a great customer experience – handle feedback and maintain service quality
- Manage cash and stock – handle daily takings, stock orders, and supplier communication
- Use sales insights to forecast demand and boost revenue
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Oversee food quality and presentation – menu knowledge, allergens, and standards
- Track performance and KPIs – motivate the team to hit targets
- Work closely with kitchen and ops teams – smooth service flow and issue solving
- Promote strong kitchen–FOH teamwork – shared goals and communication
- Recruit and onboard new staff – interviews, inductions, and values-based hiring
- Develop your team – create progression plans and training opportunities
- Collaborate on new ideas – R&D projects and feedback loops with bakery/ops
- Be part of the community – build local relationships and respond to feedback
