Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEND Tutor to provide personalised educational support to primary school aged male student who is currently not attending mainstream school . The successful candidate will work closely with the pupil, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth, confidence, and academic progress. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey through tailored teaching and support.
Duties
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of the pupil, focusing on their individual learning goals.
- Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and relevant staff members.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for children with various special educational needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes confidence, independence, and motivation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency in the child's development plan.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any behavioural or emotional concerns observed during sessions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably within special education or working with children with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their individual development.
- Knowledge of special educational needs frameworks and strategies is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the unique requirements of each child.
- Organised, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils' learning journeys.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special education are advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
