Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard / Pool Attendant to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all pool visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about water safety and enjoy working outdoors in a dynamic environment. All positions are paid, including internships, and require a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Constantly monitor the swimming pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers and visitors.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and promote safe behaviour.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, including deck supervision and ensuring equipment is in good condition.
- Assist with pool set-up, break-down, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with questions or concerns related to pool facilities.
- Keep accurate records of incidents or safety concerns during shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification recognised by local authorities (including CPR and First Aid).
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
