Each year our technicians grind thousands of linear metres of aisle to enable specialist materials handling equipment known as VNA forklift trucks to operate safely and efficiently for clients around the world. Job Description:
Summary
We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual as a Storeperson at our ever expanding, specialist industrial flooring company.
The right candidate will be organised, proactive, and experienced in stock control, goods in/goods out, and warehouse or stores administration. As a strong communicator, you will work closely with the Contracts Manager to support the operational site teams, ensuring equipment, consumables and supplies are prepared, tracked and available for all projects.
This is a hands-on role that combines desk-based responsibilities with workshop activities, including cleaning and basic maintenance of small plant and equipment. Training will be provided for this aspect of the role, but previous experience using hand and power tools would be an advantage. We are looking for someone with a willingness to learn, a positive can-do attitude, and strong attention to detail.
This is a key role within our organisation that will grow and develop with the company and therefore provide the right candidate with an opportunity to enhance their existing skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, check and book in deliveries of equipment, parts and consumables
· Pick, pack and prepare equipment and supplies for upcoming projects
· Load and unload Laser Grinder machines, equipment and supplies safely
· Check, clean and organise returned equipment ready for the next project
· Carry out regular stock checks and maintain suitable stock levels
· Maintain accurate stock records and update internal systems
· Prepare items for dispatch, including packing lists and commercial invoices where required
· Assist in arranging haulage, shipments and collections
· Book items in for calibration and keep accurate records
· Support sourcing and ordering of equipment and supplies as required
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores and workshop environment
Requirements
· Previous experience in a similar stores, warehouse or stock control role
· Experience with stock control/inventory management
· Experience preparing orders, shipments and supporting logistics activities
· Computer literate with the ability to maintain accurate records
· Planning and organising skills
· Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
· Methodical, organised and able to work on own initiative
· Good communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
· Driving license (essential)
· Willingness to improve knowledge/skills and attend training as required in relation to basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
· Counter-balance FLT license (desirable)
· Banksman qualification/experience (desirable)
· Experience using hand and power tools (desirable)
· Portable appliance testing (PAT) experience or certification (desirable)
· Experience using warehouse or stock systems (desirable)
· Knowledge of export paperwork or commercial dispatch documentation (desirable)
· Experience of basic maintenance of small plant and equipment (desirable)
Further information
Primarily stores/workshop-based role, but may require occasional travel to deliver/collect equipment etc

Pay: £31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
