HR adviser - Wellbeing | 10678 | Temporary Contract for Maternity Cover | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum (Scale I) | County Hall, Norwich (Hybrid)
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team provides professional advice and support to services and employees across Norfolk County Council.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Well-Being Adviser to join our supportive and enthusiastic team on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave.
You will deliver a range of wellbeing activities within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing framework, including advice, training, project work and support for teams and managers.
The Role
You will focus on developing and delivering proactive, preventative wellbeing support and driving forward our corporate workplace wellbeing strategy. The role will include the design and delivery of sessions for employees, teams and managers, development of practical resources that support early intervention and behaviour change, and providing one to one support, advice and guidance.
You must be able to manage a varied workload, balancing planned activity with emerging needs while maintaining quality and impact. You must be able to work professionally in sensitive and complex situations, demonstrating empathy and sound judgement, adapt your communication style to different audiences, manage competing priorities, propose practical solutions, and deliver to deadlines.
Experience of delivering workshops and training sessions and developing resources is essential, along with providing one to one support and supporting managers in a pragmatic, outcome focused way. Experience of approaches such as motivational interviewing, coaching, restorative practice, behaviour change or appreciative enquiry would be beneficial. You will be qualified to Level 5 or have equivalent experience in a relevant area.
If you are passionate about helping people to stay well, flourish and perform at their best, we would like to hear from you.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.
