Under the guidance of Bulloughs Cleaning Services and the Headteacher, the successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of the School by carrying out a range of caretaking and cleaning duties to the agreed quality standards. Your role will be to support the maintenance of a primary school based in Alne.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Security and supervision of the site
- Receiving deliveries for the school and putting these away in the designated areas
- Ordering supplies
- Supporting the maintenance plan that is provided by the school
- Undertaking regular checks and inspections of the property
- Weekly fire alarm tests
- This is a keyholder position, opening the school & carrying out H&S site checks
- Supporting winter months with gritting and clearing paths to ensure staff and pupil safety
- Carrying out cleaning duties on a section of the school
This is a permanent contract with an initial probationary period of 4 months.
Working hours are:
Monday to Friday 6-11am
This contract is divided into a 10 hours per week Caretaking role and 15 hours per week cleaning role
The rate of pay is £14.30 per hour for caretaking and £13.45 per hour for cleaning, payments are made weekly in arrears every Friday.
Some flexibility will be required to support adverse weather and other school events.
The position is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, enhanced DBS for Child Workforce, and the completion of all mandatory company training.
