Job Overview
Looking for experienced worker in a heavy steel factory, to operate CNC machines such as a large guillotine and carry out quality inspections and reports on finished products. Very important that they are used to working with heavy steel products in a factory environment.
Quality inspection requires good knowledge and competence with measuring instruments, very good record keeping and good attention to detail. Training can be offered (in-house or external) on all machines and for our specific quality requirements. Must be able to work independently and with others in a factory manufacturing environment, and complete all necessary job cards and quality records. General ability and experience with factory machines and skills such as forklifts, will make the candidate stand out. Must be versatile and be able to help with a variety of duties as needed.
Key Abilities
- Good knowledge and experience with heavy steel products, to be able to work efficiently and safely
- Good experience with quality inspection and record keeping activities
- Good experience with CNC machinery and ideally guillotines
- Good general ability with other basic factory equipment, such as cranes, lifting, grinding and forklifts
Other requirements and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in heavy steel engineering
- Good knowledge of materials and factory processes
- Good knowledge of factory health and safety
- Good attention to detail and able to complete job cards and dimensional reports
- Able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- 2 references from precious employers
Salary
To be negotiated and will be strongly based on experience and ability
Working Hours
4 days a week, Monday to Thursday. Full time 37.5 hours a week, and overtime when required. Fridays off unless overtime is required.
