Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Admissions and Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent guest services, managing admissions, and supporting shop operations. The ideal candidate will possess a welcoming attitude, and ideally experience working in a customer facing role.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist customers with purchases in the shop, providing knowledgeable product information
- Maintain accurate records of visitor attendance and sales transactions
- Ensure the shop area is tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing
- Handle guest enquiries efficiently, offering assistance or directing to areas of the castle pertinent to their needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer facing role is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs
- Organised with good time management skills
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Primary days of work are Wednesdays and Saturdays with additional hours in busy times such as school holidays.
