We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to join a well-established residential provider in Thrapston. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a children's residential Learning Disabilities service and make a genuine difference to the lives of the young people you support.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and continued development of the home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the children's residential home, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ensuring the home remains fully compliant with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
- Recruiting, developing, and leading a motivated team through effective supervision, coaching, and performance management.
- Promoting positive outcomes, independence, and life opportunities for children and young people with Learning Disabilities.
- Managing staffing levels, rotas, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure the smooth running of the home.
- Working closely with families, local authorities, education providers, healthcare professionals, and other external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for the young people.
- Monitoring quality assurance processes and implementing continuous improvements across the service.
- Leading on safeguarding, behaviour support, and risk management, ensuring the welfare of every young person remains the highest priority.
- Ensuring all care plans, risk assessments, and documentation are accurate, up to date, and reflective of each young person's individual needs.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting, or significant experience as a Deputy Manager ready to progress.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be willing to work towards it).
- A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding practices, and relevant childcare legislation.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional, child-centred care and achieving positive outcomes.
- The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- A full UK driving licence.
