Manaba are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced candidates who wish to work as an SEN Learning Support Assistant in both local mainstream and SEND schools with pupils aged 2-19 years.
You will join our wonderful supply team and work in a selection of schools across the Bordon and local surrounding areas in Hampshire. Transport is ideal due to the locations of some of the schools, however it is not essential.
Responsibilities of a SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- Work in schools to support children aged 2-19 years with their learning and development needs
- Be understanding to the individual learning and/or medical needs of the pupils in your care remaining positive and calm under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical, with a supportive nature
- Carry out a child's care plan under the guidance of the class teacher and other support staff
Requirements for a SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- At least 6 months experience of supporting young people in schools or within children's services with transferable skills
- Have an understanding of the needs of individuals with learning and/or complex needs
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to apply for a new one
- Be able to provide a minimum of two employment references (one of which must be relevant)
