Company Overview
Carbon3, established in 2019, is a leader in renewable energy, electric vehicle charging, and ESG solutions for the new build construction and retrofit sectors. We’re committed to driving sustainability and innovation, helping clients meet their carbon reduction and planning goals through cutting-edge solutions.
About the Role:
Carbon3 is looking for a proactive and curious Marketing Assistant to support our growing Marketing function. This role is ideal for someone who loves research, writes clearly and confidently, and enjoys working within a collaborative, fast-paced team.
You will support the delivery of multi-channel marketing activity across social media, website content, sales collateral, events, and internal projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, eager to learn, and comfortable communicating with people at all levels across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Research
You will keep the team informed by researching client trends, industry news, policy updates, competitor activity, and sector trends. You’ll gather data for reports, and build a useful bank of insights to support the wider marketing strategy.
Social Media Content
You’ll help create engaging posts for LinkedIn and Facebook based on the content calendar created by the Marketing Manager. You’ll monitor competitor channels, track brand mentions, identify trends, test new formats, and support day-to-day community management.
Website Content & Updates
You’ll support the ongoing development of the Carbon3 website by drafting new content, updating existing pages, and maintaining accuracy across all site sections. You’ll monitor for outdated content and messaging, broken links, and formatting issues to keep the site polished and informative.
Sales Collateral
You’ll support the creation of brochures, one-pagers, proposals, and presentation decks. You’ll maintain brand consistency and manage a clear library of up-to-date materials.
Events Support & Engagement Days
You’ll support the planning and delivery of exhibitions and engagement events, helping with logistics, stand preparation, signage, content creation, and on-the-day assistance. You’ll also capture content and coordinate materials.
Signage
You’ll manage requests for installation signage, event displays, internal branding, and vehicle graphics. This includes liaising with suppliers, checking proofs, and tracking production timelines.
Administrative Support
You’ll keep marketing systems organised, maintain calendars, save and catalogue assets, support purchase order processing, manage supplier invoices, and ensure CRM records are accurate and up to date.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Strong written communication skills.
- A naturally curious and inquisitive mindset.
- Excellent research abilities with the confidence to interpret and summarise information.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across all levels and departments.
- A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and online tools.
Desirable
- Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO or CMS systems (training provided).
- Interest in renewable energy or sustainability.
What to Expect:
Support and Guidance
From day one, you’ll be fully supported by your manager and the wider Carbon3 team. You’ll have regular check‑ins, clear guidance, and the encouragement you need to build confidence and succeed in your role.
Learning and Development
As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll dedicate time to structured learning alongside your day‑to‑day work. You’ll develop new skills through training modules and work‑based assignments, applying what you learn directly to real projects at Carbon3.
Community and Inclusion
You’ll be joining a collaborative and inclusive team that values curiosity, openness, and fresh ideas. We’re passionate about creating a positive environment where everyone feels supported and able to contribute.
Career Growth
At Carbon3, we’re invested in your long‑term development. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, exposure to innovative work, and the opportunity to grow your skills and responsibilities as your confidence develops — setting you up for a strong future career in marketing.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who asks questions, looks for answers, and is genuinely interested in renewable energy. You’re an outgoing self‑starter who loves taking ownership, moving quickly, and thriving in an environment built on trust rather than micromanagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
This is a Level 4 apprenticeship role, so we’re primarily looking for attitude, curiosity, and the ability to learn. You don’t need previous experience in marketing. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths are desirable but not essential, as support can be provided where needed. We welcome applications from school leavers, career changers, and those with relevant experience or qualifications.
