We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Searcher & Storeman to join our aviation catering operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving goods, checking delivery paperwork, storing items in the correct temperature‑controlled areas, and carrying out final searches of catering equipment before dispatch to aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods and deliveries
- Check and verify delivery notes, invoices, and accompanying paperwork
- Place goods in the correct storage areas, including: Freezer, Chiller, Packing area, Kitchen
- Maintain stock organisation and cleanliness
- Perform final searches of: Carts, Ovens, Cabinets and other catering equipment prior to aircraft loading
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and security procedures
- Assist with stock rotation and conduct daily stock counts
- Support the wider team with general warehouse and operational tasks
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
- Valid driving licence
- Flexible to work long shifts, including early mornings and late finishes
- Ability to work in cold environments (freezer/chiller)
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of English (reading and writing)
- Previous experience in catering, production, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential
Compliance Requirements
As part of the onboarding process, all applicants must be willing to undergo:
· 5-year employment history verification
· UK criminal record check (CRC)
· Overseas criminal record check (if applicable)
· Full cooperation with compliance and screening procedures
Applicants who have spent more than 6 months outside the UK must provide relevant overseas criminal record checks
Pay: £12.71 per hour
