Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist/administrator to join our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional healthcare environment, providing vital support to our dental team. Prior office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage patient appointments efficiently using practice management software
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
- Process payments and organise billing procedures
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and correspondence
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked
- Support the dental team with various clerical duties as required
Skills
- Previous office or administrative experience is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and practice management systems
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care
- Ability to work well within a team environment and independently when needed
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
