We are seeking a motivated Finance and Operations Analyst to join our team as we go into an exciting period of growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing new financial management architecture, and overseeing financial management, accounting, and planning activities within the organisation.
The Role
The role involves overseeing day-to-day operational processes, financial management (including invoicing, forecasting, and profit and loss reporting), supporting our team and improving organisational efficiency. The role will also have crucial responsibilities for internal and external stakeholder engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in operations and financial management who shares our commitment to building from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and manage day to day finance operations of Myrtle Learning
- Design new financial reporting architecture, manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate financial accounting and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead the financial planning process to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and payroll processes to ensure timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Implement cost control measures to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior stakeholders.
- Develop and improve internal processes and systems to enhance efficiency
- Monitor project budgets, contractor payments and invoices
- Work collaboratively and compassionately with key internal and external stakeholders, including the forming, building and maintaining of relationships
- Support strategic planning and contribute to organisational development
- Assist with reporting requirements, including grant and funder reporting where applicable
Who You Are
- Proven experience in financial management, with a strong background in financial accounting and services.
- Extensive knowledge of financial planning processes and cost control strategies.
- Experience in managing accounts payable functions is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
