Due to continued growth and success, 4D Academy is creating an exciting opportunity for a practical Multi-Skilled Construction Tutor & Assessor.
This role combines classroom-based practical teaching with workplace assessment, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both training and supporting learners on site.
You will deliver practical construction training while also managing a smaller caseload of NVQ learners.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidate.
About the role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver practical construction training
- Teach basic construction skills in a workshop and classroom environment
- Demonstrate safe working practices
- Assess learners completing practical tasks
- Manage a small NVQ learner caseload
- Carry out workplace observations and professional discussions
- Support learners to achieve recognised qualifications
Practical skills may include
- Basic Carpentry
- Brickwork
- Plastering
- Painting & Decorating
- Dry Lining
- Health & Safety
- Hand and Power Tool Use
- Construction Maintenance

- Has broad construction experience across several trades
- Enjoys coaching and developing others
- Can confidently demonstrate practical skills
- Is organised and enthusiastic
- Wants to help people develop successful careers
Essential
- Multi-skilled construction background
- Good communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Positive attitude towards teaching and learning
Desirable
- Teaching qualification
- Assessor qualification
- Experience delivering practical construction training
- Experience working with apprentices or NVQ learners

Salary: Competitive and dependent upon qualifications, occupational experience, assessor/teaching credentials and overall skills.
Pay: £26,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
