Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to specified recipes and dietary requirements
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food safety standards and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after shifts
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Assist with meal presentation to ensure dishes are served attractively and promptly
- Ensure paperwork is completed
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and ingredient handling
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requests
8.30am - 1.30pm Fridays, must hold a valid level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, the ideal candidate would have the ability to also cover staff holidays and sickness.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
