As an IT Asset Officer you will provide IT hardware and software asset management to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation
Trust and external organisations such as Morecambe Bay ICB (Integrated Care Board).
The work will be challenging but it is an opportunity to put your knowledge and skills to work in a rewarding public service. You will gain valuable experience working in an environment where IT is considered central to the delivery of good patient care. This belief is clearly evident in the significant investment made in the I3 service to support the Trust-wide implementation of our ePR (Electronic Patient Record) and associated technologies.
You will work along side I3 technical teams providing engineers access to hardware & software assets. You will update IT asset information
records into the Trust’s IT Asset Management system. You will be a self-starter and be able to manage your own workload but also work as a team member to meet SLA targets.
The IT Asset Officer is involved with the day to day activities relating to hardware and software asset management for the full life-cycle of IT
Assets. This includes; obtaining quotes, raising requisitions, co-ordinating receipt and booking-in of goods, storage, deployment and decommissioning.
The post holder will also be responsible for the accurate recording of asset details into the Trust IT Asset Management System.
The post holder will also take a lead role in the day-to-day management of the Trusts IT Asset storage areas, and must be prepared to travel
between the hospital sites, and Primary Care sites, to ensure stock levels are appropriately maintained
