We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sign Installer/Fitter to join our clients team in Normanton . The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, fitting, and maintaining various types of signage across multiple locations. This role requires physical dexterity, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that all signage is installed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Install and fit a variety of signs including illuminated, vinyl, and structural signage on different surfaces such as walls, poles, and buildings.
- Measure and mark installation sites accurately to ensure proper alignment and positioning of signage.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand specific requirements and site conditions prior to installation.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation environments and identify potential challenges or hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance or repairs on existing signage as required.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress to supervisors regularly.
Requirements
Must hold full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in sign fitting or a related construction or installation is essential
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at heights when necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and aligning signage accurately.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely.
- Valid driver’s licence is essential for site travel
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions. This role offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship and precision are valued highly.
Salary upto 32.5k with regularly reviews permanent, full time.
