BURGERISM CHAMPION OVERVIEW
As a Burgerism Champion, you are responsible for the training, developing and growing the next generation of Burgerism team. You should embody our values in everything you do and lead the way in ensuring our standards don’t slip. You are the first line of the management team and should encourage and motivate the crew to do their best on every shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Prepare all food to a high standard, following the spec cards and Burgerism prep guidelines
Carry out regular quality checks and temperature checks to make sure you’re sending out food of the highest standard
Follows FAST principles to ensure the customer gets the correct food, served on time and of exceptional standard
Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a kitchen safe environment, including handwashing, wearing PPE and handling knives safely
Have pride in your cleanliness standards and follow a clean as you go (CAYG) mentality to ensure the kitchen stays at the highest standard
Support the kitchen and dispatch teams in closing down their sections
Assist with managing stock levels by flagging any out of date products to your manager and recording your staff food correctly
Ensure you store stock correctly using FIFO to minimise waste
Prioritise the customer’s experience on every visit, being empathetic to any issues and doing everything possible to ensure they leave happy
Have some understanding of store ratings and targets
Team Development
Lead the training and development of our new starters, checking their standards on every station and making sure our food is prepared correctly
Highlight performance areas where re-training is required and spend time with the team to improve their understanding
Motivate and encourage the team to do their best of every shift, creating an inclusive working environment
