Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong commitment to quality service and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensure all rooms and common areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented.
- Change bed linens and towels as required, ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, and folding items.
- Assist with cooking and meal preparation when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Experience in a hotel environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Basic cooking skills are desirable to assist with meal preparation.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
