ND Pro Ltd is a Social Enterprise dedicated to delivering specialist, holistic, and needs-led support packages for neurodivergent (ND) children and individuals with learning disabilities (LD) across the North Wales. We are passionate about improving the quality of life and well-being of the individuals and families we support through the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Role Overview
As an Enabler / Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting ND children and individuals with LD within their family homes and communities. Working within the PBS framework, you will help individuals live fulfilling lives by promoting independence, well-being, and meaningful engagement in everyday activities. You will be a key part of a team that values empathy, creativity, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide direct, person-centred support to ND children and individuals with LD in their homes and local communities.
· Support individuals in engaging with preferred activities, both at home and in the community (e.g., outings, hobbies, social events).
· Implement and adhere to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to promote well-being and reduce behaviours of concern.
· Assist with basic personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting, in a respectful and dignified manner.
· Build trusting, respectful relationships with individuals and their families.
· Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and the wider ND Pro team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
· Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily / nightly notes and incident reports.
· Participate in ongoing training and reflective practice to ensure continuous professional development.
Essential Criteria
· A genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent children and those with learning disabilities.
· Understanding of or willingness to learn about Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
· Experience working in a care or support role (formal or informal).
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required.
· Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
· Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
· Social Care Wales registration (or willingness to undertake mandatory training to achieve this)
Desirable Criteria
· Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or related fields.
· Experience working with children or young people with complex needs.
· Knowledge of autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
· Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
