PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor – Hybrid Working
(Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist)
Salary: £39,000–£40,500 + OTE up to £46,575
Location: Bradford | Full-time, permanent
Are you looking to move away from frontline clinical work, while still using your clinical expertise in a different way?
As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor with Medacs Healthcare, you’ll carry out functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role, focused on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing rather than treatment.
The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long-term stability and a healthier work–life balance.
What you’ll do
- Carry out face-to-face and telephone assessments
- Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
- Produce accurate, evidence-based reports
- Work to defined clinical frameworks and quality standards
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
- Attend the assessment centre as required
What we’re looking for
- NMC or HCPC registered Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 1 year’s UK clinical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
