We are a residential surveying practice with regular instruction flow seeking an experienced surveyor to undertake RICS Home Surveys (Level 2 and 3) across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
The role is offered on a self-employed associate basis. Work is allocated as instructions arise, and payment is made per completed survey on a fee-share basis. We manage lead generation, booking, reporting technologies, and lone worker tracking.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of residential properties and produce RICS Home Survey reports (Level 2 and 3).
- Carry out inspections using the practice's mobile inspection application.
- Work in accordance with the RICS Home Survey Standard and Rules of Conduct.
- Deliver reports within agreed timescales and address any quality-assurance points prior to sign-off.
- Liaise with the survey Client on a summary call post survey, along with answering any follow-up questions if required.
Requirements
- Active MRICS. RICS Registered Valuer status is desirable.
- Demonstrable experience surveying residential property.
- Own transport and inspection equipment.
- Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to work under the practice's cover (to be discussed).
- Full UK driving licence.
Terms
- Self-employed engagement; the surveyor is responsible for their own tax and National Insurance and invoices the practice for completed work.
- Flexible workload, suitable alongside an existing practice or other commitments.
- Applicants should be based within Greater Manchester or Cheshire to cover the area efficiently.
