Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our mental health team. The successful candidate will provide specialised psychological support, assisting clients in understanding and managing their emotional and behavioural challenges. Duties
- Develop and implement care plans to address clients' specific needs and goals
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress and treatment outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to clients navigating mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological conditions
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
- Provide 1 to 1 counselling sessions to support staff mental health.
- Providing leadership and being a positive role model among colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Participating in pre-assessment and reviews for potential and pre-existing clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including care managers, care coordinators and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Engage in training projects aimed at training staff members to support clients with cognitive impairments such as Dementia.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes.
- Support staff members as well as family members to develop and maintain good mental hygiene.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organisational skills to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain detailed case notes
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping, scheduling, and telehealth sessions where applicable
- Leadership qualities to guide clients through their recovery journey and collaborate effectively within a team setting
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual client needs
- Empathy, patience, and active listening skills essential for effective therapy sessions
