For the shortlist, we will select applicants demonstrating the best fit for the role by considering the evidence provided in your application, both the CV and the Statement of Suitability will be scored.
In the event of a large number of applicants an initial sift will be conducted on the statement of suitability. Those who are successful in the initial sift will then be scored on all elements of the application.
The interview process will assess behaviours and strengths and will include a scenario task.

To ensure an authentic assessment of your real-time reasoning, behaviour questions will not be shared in advance. We will use situational questions to understand the genuine actions and activities you would take, or have taken previously, in order to assess effective performance in this role.
You will not be made aware of the strengths being assessed prior to your interview.
We do this to capture your genuine, unrehearsed responses and understand what you naturally do well, do often, and find motivating. Our goal is to ensure a great mutual fit so you can truly thrive and enjoy your work.
You will also be required to complete a scenario-based prioritisation task which will test the behaviour Making Effective Decisions. This will be provided to you 30 minutes ahead of your chosen interview start time. (Should you require additional time on the day of your interview to complete this task please request this as a reasonable adjustment.)
Your interview will take place remotely via GoogleMeets.

Further Information
If the vacancy is offered as FTA/Loan, existing Civil Servants must join on a Loan basis only. Prior agreement to be released on loan must be obtained before commencing the application process. In the case of Civil Servants, the terms of the loan will be agreed between the home and host department and the Civil Servant. This includes grade on return.
