Service & Aftersales Controller
Autosales are currently recruiting for a full-time Service & Aftersales Controller at our Kirriemuir branch. You will act as the main point of contact between customers and the workshop/parts department. This role combines customer service, technical understanding, workshop control & administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and identify service or parts requirements.
- Create repair orders, job cards, and parts requests.
- Provide estimates for repairs, maintenance, and replacement parts.
- Advise customers on recommended maintenance schedules.
- Source, order, and issue vehicle parts working alongside our parts department.
- Liaise with technicians, suppliers, and customers regarding work progress.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and service history.
- Process invoices, warranties, and payments.
- Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed within agreed timescales.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures and manufacturer standards.
- Allocate work to technicians based on skill level and workload.
- Manage workshop capacity and scheduling.
- Monitor workshop productivity and job progress.
- Track and increase workshop efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of automotive or mechanical parts.
- Computer literacy and experience with dealer management systems (DMS).
- Organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural, or industrial equipment sectors is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Manufacturer & systems training will be mandatory.
