Bid Writer – Construction / Civil Engineering
A specialist construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its growing team based in Runcorn.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Bid Writer with experience in construction, civil engineering, or concrete repairs to join a well-established business delivering complex infrastructure and specialist engineering projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate tender submissions and bid documentation
- Write clear, persuasive, and client focused responses
- Manage PQQs, SQs, ITTs, and framework submissions
- Liaise with technical, operational, and commercial teams to gather information
- Ensure submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines
- Maintain bid library content, case studies, and supporting documents
- Review tender requirements and ensure full compliance
Requirements
- Previous Bid Writing experience within:
- Construction
- Civil Engineering
- Concrete Repairs
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint
Desirable Experience
- Infrastructure or specialist engineering projects
- Public sector tenders and framework submissions
- APMP accreditation
