We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waiters / Waitresses to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and upsell where appropriate to enhance guest experience
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout service periods
- Adhere to food safety standards and health & safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and basic food preparation techniques
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is beneficial but not essential
- Effective time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
- Upselling techniques to maximise guest satisfaction and sales potential
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
