Salary: £40,000-£44,000 depending on experience
Stone UK Ltd is looking for an experienced Class 1 Wagon & Drag HIAB Driver / Plant Operator to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a stable, Monday-Friday role with variety. You will be predominantly driving our wagon and drag vehicle with HIAB/crane, while also supporting plant operations across our two sites using equipment such as forklifts, diggers and dumpers.

The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Driving a Class 1 wagon and drag vehicle with HIAB/crane
- Loading and unloading stone products safely using HIAB/crane equipment
- Delivering natural stone to customer sites, trade clients and project locations
- Operating plant machinery including forklifts, diggers and dumpers
- Supporting yard, loading, unloading and site movements across our two sites
- Handling heavy, awkward and high-value loads with care
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic care of vehicles, plant and equipment
- Working closely with the yard, production and sales teams to keep work moving efficiently
- Representing Stone UK professionally when dealing with customers and sites
About You
You will need:
- Class 1 HGV licence
- Experience driving wagon and drag vehicles
- HIAB/crane experience
- Plant operating experience, ideally including forklifts, diggers and dumpers
- Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- Good understanding of safe loading, securing and unloading
- Experience delivering to customer sites or construction/trade environments
- A careful, reliable and professional approach
- Willingness to split your time between driving, plant operating and hands-on site support
Relevant plant tickets/licences would be an advantage.
Experience working with heavy building materials, stone, construction products or similar would also be a strong advantage.
