Job Description:
Marquee Crew Member & Driver – Beau & Bell
At Beau & Bell, we are currently looking for an experienced Marquee Crew Member & Driver with knowledge of Sailcloth marquees, Tipis, and Stretch Tents.
You will be part of a close-knit team of foremen and riggers, working across the Southeast to install and dismantle high-quality structures for weddings, festivals, and private events.
The Role
This is a dual-role position, combining hands-on marquee installation with driving responsibilities. You will be expected to both assist on-site and safely transport equipment to and from venues.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Duties:
- Assist with the installation and dismantling of Sailcloth marquees, Tipis, and Stretch Tents
- Carry out tasks efficiently and in line with company procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver projects on schedule
- Maintain high health & safety standards at all times
- Attend team briefings before jobs and debriefs after completion
- Ensure a professional and positive presence on-site with clients
Driving Duties:
- Drive company vehicles (Pick-up & Trailer, LWB vans & Lutons) to and from sites across the Southeast
- Load vehicles at the yard in line with Operations Manager instructions
- Ensure safe transport and secure loading of all equipment
- Oversee unloading on-site and reloading at the end of each job
- Take responsibility for vehicle condition, cleanliness, and basic checks
- Trailer towing
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Confident driving LWB vans and Luton vehicles
- Experience in events, marquee installation, or similar outdoor setups
- Knowledge of Sailcloth marquees, Tipis, and Stretch Tents preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Good communication skills (English required)
- Trailer licence/experience
- Must have own transport to and from the yard/lockup
Working Hours & Pay
- Competitive hourly or daily rates
- Flexible hours depending on bookings
- Long days during peak season
- Weekend work required (typically Sundays rather than Saturdays)
