HGV Class 1&2 – Heathrow Airport (Airside)
Are you an experienced HGV Driver looking for an exciting career move into the heart of global aviation?
We are currently seeking professional, safety-conscious drivers to join our ground operations team at Heathrow Airport. This is a high-profile role where you will be responsible for navigating the unique airside environment, ensuring the smooth flow of airport operations.
The Rewards
- Base Week: 37.5 Hours
- Monday – Friday Overtime: Basic Rate x 1.5
- Weekend & Bank Holiday Overtime: Basic Rate x 2.0
- Immediate Benefit: Enhanced overtime rates applicable from Day One for all agency drivers!
Key Responsibilities
- Operating vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes (Class 2) or large passenger coaches within the airport perimeter.
- Adhering to strict Airside Driving bylaws and safety regulations.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers and ground crew.
- Maintaining a high standard of vehicle safety checks and reporting.
- Working under pressure to meet tight aircraft turnaround schedules.
What We Are Looking For
License Requirements (One of the following):
- HGV2 / Cat C / Class 2 License: Proven experience driving vehicles larger than 18 Tonnes.
- Bus/Coach Drivers: Minimum 2 years of experience (Double Deck experience preferred).
- 7.5 Tonne Drivers: Minimum 2 years of driving experience.
Skills & Attributes:
- Fitness: A good level of physical fitness is essential for this active role.
- Compliance: Ability to provide a clean 5-year checkable work/education history for security clearance.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English to follow complex airside instructions.
- Safety First: A strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and respect for Health & Safety protocols.
- Experience: Previous Airside Driving experience is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
