About Able Skills
Able Skills is one of the UK’s leading construction training providers, helping thousands of individuals each year gain the practical skills and qualifications needed to build successful careers in the trades. From plumbing and electrical training to carpentry, gas, plastering and property maintenance courses, we provide hands-on training delivered by experienced industry professionals. Our mission is to bridge the skills gap within the construction industry by equipping learners with the knowledge, confidence and opportunities they need to succeed.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and driven 360 Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in helping our students transition from training into employment while also building relationships with employers across the construction sector.
As a 360 recruiter, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with construction companies, housebuilders, developers and other industry employers who are looking to hire skilled tradespeople. You will manage the full recruitment cycle, from identifying vacancies and securing client relationships through to sourcing, placing and supporting candidates.
Working closely with our graduates, you will help match newly qualified tradespeople with suitable employment opportunities, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. This is a fast-paced role within a growing business, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on both our students’ careers and the wider construction industry.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and confident building relationships with both candidates and clients. They will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and be motivated by helping people achieve their career goals.
Key requirements include:
- Previous recruitment experience, ideally within the construction, trades or built environment sectors.
- Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including business development and candidate management.
- Confidence speaking with and developing relationships with employers, including housebuilders, developers, contractors and construction businesses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a willingness to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- A passion for helping people secure meaningful employment and develop successful careers.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a growing, ambitious team.
Experience within trades recruitment would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong recruitment backgrounds and an interest in the construction sector will also be considered.
