This is a structured entry-level management role for someone who wants more than just a job title. If you're looking to genuinely learn how businesses operate; from frontline client work through to team leadership.
About the role
You'll join our Edinburgh team representing established telecoms and energy brands, working directly with customers through face-to-face consultation. Alongside the day-to-day work, you'll follow a formal dual-track training programme that runs throughout your first 6 to 12 months — developing you as both a practitioner and a manager.
Your training programme
We treat management as a skill that has to be learned properly, not picked up by chance.
Your development is split across two tracks:
- Field training — hands-on customer acquisition, account management and professional pitching in real client environments
- Theory and workshops — weekly sessions covering business finance, team logistics, conflict resolution, and performance analysis
- Mentorship — direct support from a Senior Account Manager with honest, structured feedback on your progression
What you'll be responsible for
- Representing telecoms and energy partners in professional face-to-face consultations with prospective customers
- Onboarding new customers and ensuring a smooth experience through the initial contract phase
- Reporting on territory trends and customer feedback to support client strategy
- As you progress, helping to train new starters and coordinate small project teams
What we offer
- Full-time, Monday to Friday — a stable, consistent schedule
- Paid from day one, including all training hours both in the field and in the office
- A transparent progression path from junior through to senior account management, based on measurable performance
- Genuine exposure to two of the UK's most resilient and in-demand industries
What we're looking for
Experience isn't essential — the right mindset is. You'll be a good fit if you:
- Can communicate clearly and confidently, including breaking down complex products in plain terms
- Are committed to a long-term career path, not just a short-term pay cheque
- Are open to the theory side of management training alongside the practical work
- Present yourself professionally — you'll be representing major national brands
