About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences that help every child achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
- Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, and moderate learning difficulties
- Developing personalised learning plans and targeted interventions
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SEN support staff, and external professionals
- Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress against EHCP outcomes and individual targets
- Contributing to annual reviews and SEND documentation where required
- Promoting pupils' independence, confidence, communication, and social development
- Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and wider support agencies
- Contributing to the school's inclusive ethos and wider school community

What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience working with children with SEND in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation
- Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND frameworks (desirable)
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- High expectations for pupil achievement and personal development
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
