Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Tender to assist in the daily operations of our restaurant/cocktail bar. The ideal candidate will possess extensive cocktail and drinks experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves ensuring high standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests whilst supporting the restaurant in every capacity. You will also assist with creating and developing exciting drinks and cocktails in line with the taste and demands of our diners.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with company standards and recipes.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service at all times.
- Take customer orders accurately and make drink recommendations where appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, equipment, and workstations.
- Restock beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies as required throughout service.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and alcohol licensing regulations.
- Assist with setting up and closing down the bar area.
- Support colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and queries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of drinks preparation, cocktails, and bar service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Good understanding of hygiene, health and safety, and food safety standards.
- Barista or beverage preparation experience is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for hospitality and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The role will be a minimum of 30 hours max 35 hours, the salary includes gratuties.
