Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 1 (Flex) driver to join our team. This role involves flexible scheduling - days, nights and weekends - and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of delivery routes. Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently across designated routes.
- Handle flatbed loads with care, ensuring securement and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
- Deliver goods to various locations, adhering to scheduled timings and route plans.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Follow all health and safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transit operations.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery routes.
- Experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as per operational needs.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation.
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks when required.
