FRONTLINE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Part of Aetheria Group
We Are Hiring — Support Workers | Children and Families Hertfordshire | Part-Time, Flexible and Bank Opportunities Salary dependent on experience and hours worked
About the Role
Frontline Health Professionals is recruiting Support Workers across Hertfordshire to deliver flexible, responsive care as part of our children and families service.
These are part-time, shift-based roles working across a range of packages designed to support families in need, prevent placement or family breakdown, and respond to emergency and short-notice situations. Placements can be located anywhere across Hertfordshire and may change based on service need.
This is not a standard residential role. You will be deployed across different settings, working with different families and young people, and you must be comfortable adapting quickly, working independently, and maintaining consistent professional standards across varied environments.
Working Pattern
Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours depending on the package. Availability across days, evenings, and weekends is essential. You will be contacted for shifts based on your availability and the needs of the service. There is no guaranteed minimum hours, and you will be paid per shift worked.
We welcome applicants who can commit to regular availability as well as those who can offer flexible or ad-hoc cover. The more availability you can offer, the more we can match you to consistent work.

- Provide direct support to children, young people, and families within their home or community setting.
- Help prevent family breakdown by offering consistent, practical, and emotionally grounded support.
- Respond to emergency placement or support needs at short notice where required.
- Support daily routines, personal care, activities, and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with the coordinating team.
- Work within agreed risk assessments, support plans, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Escalate concerns promptly and appropriately.
