We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audit & Accounts Senior to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, preparing financial statements, and providing valuable insights into clients' financial health. Responsibilities
- Lead and execute external audits, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Analyse complex financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Utilise accounting software efficiently to record, process, and report financial information.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on audit findings.
- Collaborate with clients’ management teams to gather necessary documentation and clarify financial information.
- Assist in training junior team members and supporting their development within the organisation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Audit & Accounts Senior or similar role within the financial services sector.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients and team members.
