An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading global consultancy within their growing Infrastructure team in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work on some of the UK’s most high-profile and complex programmes across utilities, rail and highways sectors .The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering major infrastructure commissions for public and private sector clients, providing commercial leadership across the full project lifecycle.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management and commercial services across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, supporting successful project delivery from inception through to completion.Key responsibilities include:
- Cost planning, estimating and benchmarking
- Procurement and tender management
- Contract administration and change control
- Valuations, cost reporting and final accounts
- Risk and value management
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with commercial and contractual objectives
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure projects
- Exposure to sectors such as utilities, rail, highways or civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial and stakeholder management skills
- Consultancy experience preferred, but not essential
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
